Carestream Health has launched two new high-definition digital radiography (DR) detectors and will feature the technology at the upcoming RSNA 2022 annual meeting.
The higher-resolution Focus HD 35 and Focus HD 43 detectors enable image magnification for better visibility of small objects and microstructures, the vendor said. The detectors utilize a Cesium (CsI) scintillator for dose-sensitive pediatric patients, and come in two sizes, 35 cm x 43 cm and 43 cm x 43 cm. The detectors have earned an IP56 rating for better protection against dust and fluid ingress, Carestream said.
In addition, both detectors utilize the vendor's ImageView Software powered by Eclipse for image processing. They are compatible with a variety of DR systems, the company said.
To date, the detectors are commercially available in Algeria, Australia, Indonesia, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Philippines, South Africa, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt, Carestream noted.
