ACR calls on members to urge Congress to increase NIH funding

The American College of Radiology (ACR) is advocating for increased funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the federal 2025 budget and is calling its members to urge lawmakers to fund the institutes at "the highest possible level."

The college noted that lawmakers are taking steps to "promote the importance of medical research" through a resolution that set September 16 to 20 as "Medical Research Week"; the ACR partnered with congressional offices on this effort through its participation in the Ad Hoc Group for Medical Research, it said.
