Dr. James A. Brink has been named the new chair of the Radiology Advocacy Alliance political action committee (RADPAC) for the 2015-2016 election cycle.
Brink is radiologist in chief at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Juan M. Taveras professor of radiology at Harvard Medical School.
The outgoing RADPAC chair, Dr. Bibb Allen Jr., led RADPAC to its most successful election cycle in its 15-year history, according to the committee. RADPAC-backed candidates won 253 of the 271 House races and 32 of the 33 Senate races, and RADPAC gained national attention by making more than $1 million in independent expenditures in the 2014 elections.
