Dr. Thomas Berquist will retire from his position as editor in chief of the American Journal of Roentgenology in June 2020, the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) said. Berquist served in the role for 12 years.
"It has been my honor to serve as editor in chief of the American Journal of Roentgenology since 2008," Berquist said in a statement released by the ARRS. "I have decided to conclude my editorship as of June 2020, and I am grateful to all of our section editors, our reviewers, and the staff of AJR for all of their efforts in making it the leading resource for practicing physicians and allied health professionals engaged in patient-centered medical imaging."
The society is now inviting applications for the position. Qualified candidates must be internationally recognized authors in radiology, with a strong background in medical writing and editing and an ability to articulate and maintain an editorial vision that fosters continued growth in quality submissions to AJR, the society said.
Applications must be submitted by December 15.
