Dr. Valerie Jackson has been named president of the board of directors of the RSNA, the group announced at its annual meeting in Chicago.
Jackson is currently president of the American Board of Radiology, a position she has held since 2014; prior to that, she held numerous academic appointments at Indiana University School of Medicine. She has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and 20 books and book chapters, with an emphasis on breast imaging and radiology education.
Among other appointments announced at RSNA 2018, Dr. Mary Mahoney of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine was named chair of the RSNA board, while Dr. James Borgstede of the University of Colorado was named president-elect. Dr. Jeffrey Klein of the University of Vermont College of Medicine also joined the RSNA's board.
