Correctional healthcare provider American Correctional Solutions (ACS) has sued the County of San Diego over its contract to provide radiology services for inmates.
ACS said the county refuses to compensate it properly for the radiology services it provides at the county's Central Jail, George F. Bailey Detention Facility, Vista Detention Facility, Las Colinas Detention and Re-entry Facility, and mobile x-ray vehicle. As a result, the company is continuing to provide those services at a loss, ACS said.
After attempting to resolve the issue numerous times, the company has asked the county not to exercise its option-to-renew clause. However, the county has instead continued to extend the contract, ACS said.
ACS filed its suit in the Superior Court of the State of California.
