Siemens launches G20 ultrasound scanner

Siemens Medical Solutions has introduced Sonoline G20, a new value-oriented grayscale ultrasound scanner targeted at ob/gyn applications.

G20 is an all-digital scanner based on a lightweight, mobile design that enables the system to be moved easily. Features include tissue grayscale optimization (TGO) technology for one-button optimization of imaging parameters, a built-in DIMAQ-IP workstation with CD-RW drive for archiving, and embedded connectivity that enables the system to communicate with DICOM-based networks and PC-based workstations.

G20 shipments will begin in May, according to the company.
