Ultrasound technology developer Misonix of Farmingdale, NY, has inked a contract to market its ultrasonic surgical aspiration system in Chile, the company reported.
Misonix will sell its SonaStar ultrasonic surgical aspiration system via MD International, a Miami, FL-based distributor with sales offices in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, and Puerto Rico.
SonaStar allows physicians to selectively remove abnormal tissue while sparing vessels, and can perform bone shaving. Four systems have already been shipped, Misonix said.
