Siemens Healthcare will release its Acuson SC2000 echocardiography system at this week's annual session of the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) in Toronto.
SC2000 can acquire nonstitched, full-volume heart images in a single heartbeat, according to the Malvern, PA-based company. The system features the company's Coherent Volume Formation technology and will be Siemens' premier cardiology platform. Coherent Volume Formation employs simultaneous, multiple beams, Siemens said.
The system also utilizes Siemens' 4Z1c transducer, which can serve as a single transducer for adult echo applications; it provides volume imaging, 2D, M-mode, color Doppler, and spectral Doppler, Siemens said. The transducer also employs active cooling technology.
