Philips Healthcare has added HD15 to its HD line of ultrasound scanners.
Designed for everyday use in small hospitals, clinics, and private practices, HD15 is suitable for general imaging, cardiac, vascular, and ob/gyn applications, according to the Andover, MA-based vendor. Philips said HD15 could serve as a primary system for some users, particularly those in emerging markets who may not need all the features of a high-end ultrasound system.
HD15 includes features such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound, Philips' PureWave transducer crystal technology, QLAB quantification software, XRES image processing, and Microfine EX focusing for sharper images and improved tissue uniformity, Philips said.
The company said it has also included Tissue-Specific Imaging presets, iScan one-button image optimization, and a suite of configurable patient reports and exam storage options.
