GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., has launched a new ultrasound system for radiology and vascular applications that fuses ultrasound images with those from other modalities, the company announced.
The new Logiq E9 scanner includes GE's new Agile ultrasound architecture, which supports features like volume navigation, in which users can combine real-time ultrasound imaging with CT, MR, or PET data, and a GPS-like technology that tracks and marks the patient's anatomy during an exam, GE said.
The scanner also includes a scan assistant tool that allows physicians to preprogram the actions they perform most often.
