Philips ships first compact ultrasound systems

Philips Healthcare of Andover, MA, has begun shipping its CX50 compact ultrasound unit, the company said.

CX50 is designed for bedside exams, and features Philips' PureWave crystal technology, advanced XRES imaging, and digital broadband beamforming. It can be hand-carried where needed, and is ideal for the operating room, according to Philips.
