Toshiba forges clinical research pact with Texas institute

Toshiba America Medical Systems has entered into a collaborative research agreement with the neuroradiology lab at Zale Lipshy University Hospital in Dallas.

The Tustin, CA-based company will provide new technology and 3D imaging applications to the department, including intra-spinal navigation and neuro-endoscopy, for the Infinix-i series of vascular x-ray systems.

The hospital, which is part of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, previously worked with Toshiba in the development of its 3D rotational angiography technology and flat-panel detectors.
