Medical Metrx to provide 3D for clinical trials

Vascular imaging software developer Medical Metrx Solutions of West Lebanon, NH, said it would provide imaging and measurement technology for a multiple-center clinical study to predict the risk of potentially fatal ruptures in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA).

The firm is providing optimized 3-D reconstruction and finite-element analysis technology to generate patient-specific stress maps that illustrate aortic aneurysm wall stress. In addition, Metrx is providing core lab services for the clinical trial through a Web-based clinical tool that allows participants to enter study data online, according to the company.
