Molecular imaging system developer Gamma Medica-Ideas of Northridge, CA, reported that its Flex preclinical CT imaging system is in use at Harvard Medical School to develop new techniques for early cancer detection.
The research is being carried out at the Center for Molecular Imaging Research at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. The group, which is combining preclinical CT imaging with functional imaging capabilities, is working to develop an early-stage lung cancer detection method, the company said.
