In CT, contrast injector developer Medrad of Indianola, PA, will introduce a software upgrade to its flagship Stellant D injector platform designed to capitalize on the increased use of cardiac CT imaging.
Called SmartFlow, the software automatically suggests injection protocols based on patient-specific characteristics for cardiac CT. It will be offered as an optional software upgrade to Stellant D, a dual-syringe injector system.
Medrad will display SmartFlow as a work-in-progress, with product availability in the first quarter of 2006.
