Royal Philips, the parent of Philips Healthcare, has announced the release of its IntraSight interventional applications platform, which integrates intravascular imaging with physiology applications for image-guided procedures.

Philips IntraSight is an application-based platform that can help speed up routine image-guided procedures by providing clinicians with blood pressure measurements from fractional flow reserve and instant wave-free ratio, as well as data from intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) during image-guided therapy, according to the company.

The interventional applications platform offers an intuitive interface that features data management, tableside touchscreen control, systems integration, and remote service diagnostics.

In conjunction with Philips' SyncVision image-guidance platform, IntraSight allows clinicians to map both the pressure profile and IVUS measurements of entire blood vessels onto an angiogram, the company said. Users may additionally combine Philips' IntraSight with its Azurion image-guided therapy platform in the treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular patients.

Philips is showing IntraSight at the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) 2019 Scientific Sessions in Las Vegas and will also display the software at the upcoming annual meeting of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI) in Paris.
