Molecular imaging system developer Gamma Medica-Ideas, of Northridge, CA, has installed its LumaGem 3200S/12K breast imaging system at the University of Sassari and the Hospital of Santa Anna of Ferrara, both in Italy.
The LumaGem is used to detect lesions in women with dense breasts and who may have a high risk for breast cancer.
