Nuclear medicine vendors Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, and Gamma Medica of Northridge, CA, have allowed their co-marketing pact for preclinical SPECT and SPECT/CT products to expire.
The companies said that Siemens' purchase of PET developer CTI Molecular Imaging and the overlap of the companies' preclinical product lines meant that the firms "need to move forward independently," according to Gamma Medica.
The companies signed the deal in July 2003, with Siemens winning distribution rights to Gamma Medica's X-SPECT product. They added Gamma Medica's MicroSPECT SPECT/CT unit to the pact last year.
