TORONTO - Hitachi Medical Systems America of Twinsburg, OH, has released the Emory Cardiac Toolbox PETtools software for use with its Sceptre P3 PET/CT system and an upgrade to its Avia multimodality PACS workstation.
Distributed under license from imaging software developer Syntermed of Atlanta, the PETtools applications adds capabilities for quantitative PET evaluation of cardiac perfusion. It offers databases with normal limits specifically for rubidium and ammonia PET studies, as well as tools to evaluate FDG match or mismatch for cardiac PET, according to Hitachi.
The new Avia release, version 5.6, features the Avia Lite Viewer, which allows users to burn cases to DVD or CD media, along with a built-in viewer for referring physician review, Hitachi said.
