Nuclear medicine connectivity developer Numa has entered into a compatibility agreement with Siemens Healthcare Molecular Imaging with respect to the development of a customized clinical image and data management system it has developed.
Numa's preclinical data and image management has been designed for Siemen's Inveon CT, PET, and SPECT modality platforms. It automates the backup of raw data of all types generated by the Inveon Acquisition Workplace and the Inveon Research Workplace.
The image management system can recall raw date for reprocessing, can run queries for DICOM studies, and can export data to other systems. Its compression algorithms deliver an average compression of 60% to 65% on test datasets. The system also incorporates data security features.
The product made its debut last week in Miami Beach at the Society of Nuclear Medicine's (SNM) annual meeting.
