Lantheus Medical Imaging saw 2% growth in revenues for the first quarter of 2015 (end-March 31), while the firm swung into the black from the net loss reported in the same quarter a year ago.
For the most recent quarter, Lantheus reported revenue of $74.8 million, up 2% after currency adjustment and up 4% on a constant-currency basis, compared with $73.3 million in revenues in the first quarter of 2014. The company's net income was $700,000, compared with a net loss of $1.3 million in the first quarter of 2014.
Lantheus reported growth in sales of its Definity ultrasound contrast agent, driven by the company's efforts to expand use in echocardiography procedures. The company also made progress in its effort to improve operating efficiency, which led to an improvement in profit margin.
