SNMMI approves new chapter in Puerto Rico

The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) has approved Puerto Rico for its 13th chapter.

The new chapter's official name is the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging of Puerto Rico. It is the first new SNMMI chapter since 1986, and its mission is to advance research, education, and the dissemination of new technologies and modalities in the field of nuclear medicine.

Each regional SNMMI chapter operates as an independently incorporated organization while actively supporting SNMMI’s bylaws and policies.

The chapter’s leadership includes the following: Charlie Flores, president; Yamaris Rivera, vice president; Sandra Gracia, MD, secretary; Ernesto Torres, treasurer; Rafael Vaquer, MD, member; David Ramos, member; Jairo J. De Jesús, technologist commission president; Emily Ramos, subsecretary; and Anthony Pérez, subtreasurer.
