Fonar marched on the People's Republic today, announcing an exclusive deal to market its MRI systems in China. The agreement with Beijing-based Evergreen Imaging covers seven Fonar systems and works-in-progress, from the low-cost Echo to the top-end Quad 12000, according to Melville, NY-based Fonar.
Evergreen Imaging has an excellent reputation and track record in China, according to Sol Ginzburg, Fonar's vice president of sales, with offices and sales staff in every major marketplace. A Fonar representative held seminars in China to train Evergreen's sales staff. Under terms of the agreement, Evergreen will sell only Fonar MRI scanners in China, an arrangement that will benefit both companies, Ginzburg said.
