Philips Medical Systems of Bothell, WA, will showcase work-in-progress MR radiation therapy simulation for its Proview Open MR scanner and AcQsim workstation at this week's American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in San Francisco.
The products were developed by Marconi Medical Systems, which Philips bought last month. Marconi first demonstrated the use of MR as the basis for radiation therapy planning at the annual meeting of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) in July.
