Fonar develops MRI prostate scanning technique

MRI vendor Fonar has developed a new method of MRI prostate imaging using its Indomitable MRI system. Taking advantage of the unit's ability to scan patients in a sitting position, the Melville, NY-based vendor said it has developed a special receiver antenna that's placed directly in the patient seat's cushion, allowing for noninvasive imaging of the prostate.
