GE Medical Systems of Waukesha, WI, said it has received more than 200 orders worldwide for its Excite MRI technology. The company expects to ship more than 300 units by year's end, exceeding original sales projections.
Excite technology, introduced in May, features improved speed from image acquisition through final image presentation. The vendor says this results in greater signal-to-noise ratio for better image quality and shorter exam times.
