GE reports 100th order for Signa Ovation open MR

GE Medical Systems of Waukesha, WI has received the 100th order for its 0.35-tesla Signa Ovation open MR scanner, 18 months after the first installation in the U.S. More than 50 systems are installed and operating. The system uses the same operating platform as other GE whole-body scanners and shares hardware components with the vendor’s 1.5-tesla MR scanners.
