Neurognostics nets FDA nod

Functional MRI technology provider Neurognostics has received a Special 510(k) approval for its MindState fDAD offering.

MindState fDAD initially received 510(k) clearance in February as an MRI data acquisition device; with the Special 510(k), fDAD can be enhanced to provide a library of stimulation paradigms, data collection protocols, and image processing services, according to the Milwaukee-based firm. The collective offering would be known as MindState fDPD.

As a result of the clearance, Neurognostics said it would be able to provide offsite fMRI data processing services to its customers.
