MRI coil developer Supertron has raised $3.5 million in series C financing, according to the Newark, NJ-based firm.
The funding round was conducted with institutional investor Amphion Innovations and will support commercialization of grant-based research, intellectual property portfolio development, staffing, and potential acquisitions, Supertron said.
In addition to its work in MR coil development, the company said that it is targeting emerging MRI research applications in the fields of molecular imaging, x-nuclei applications, functional MRI, image-guided therapeutics, and orthopedic imaging.
