IES-Patient Comfort System

IES-Patient Comfort System of Hayward, CA, will roll out a line of mattress pads, knee wedges, and positioners designed to enhance advanced imaging scans while boosting patient comfort.

The pads were developed in conjunction with Tempur-Pedic Medical of Lexington, KY, and feature the company's Tempur material. They can be used to replace a scanner's original pads, which can become worn out and lose their comfort over time, according to the company.

IES-Patient Comfort System will present research during the RSNA show indicating that helping patients lie comfortably during scans can reduce motion artifacts.
