Toshiba America Medical Systems announced it has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance for its Excelart Vantage Atlas MRI system.
The Vantage Atlas 1.5-tesla MRI system features a complete redesign with an integrated coil concept that allows clinicians to perform multiple exams without repositioning the patient. The new 128-element system delivers high-resolution images with faster imaging times for increased patient comfort and enhanced workflow and technologist productivity, according to the Tustin, CA-based company.
Vantage Atlas' optional 205-cm acquisition range also allows for feet-first imaging for the entire body, except the neck and head, Toshiba said.
