MRI vendor Fonar of Melville, NY, sold another of its Fonar Upright Multi-Position MRI units to a U.K. imaging center, bringing Fonar’s European installed base for the device to nine.
London Upright MRI Centre will be installing the scanner, which allows patients to be scanned in a weight-bearing position. This is particularly helpful for spine patients, and the scanner's open design works well for claustrophobic patients, according to London Upright MRI Centre.
