(Booth 7950) Confirma has focused on breast MRI CAD, and at this year's RSNA show the Bellevue, WA, company will demonstrate new reporting tools and a new user interface built around the American College of Radiology's BI-RADS lexicon. The company will also discuss its entry into prostate CAD.
For the company's flagship CADstream breast MRI CAD application, Confirma will show a new customizable interface centered around BI-RADS that accommodates various user experience levels. Other CADstream enhancements include improved 3D renderings and tools for morphology reporting, according to the company.
The company will also debut Access Breast Coil, which provides a high signal-to-noise ratio with optimized patient access and comfort, the firm said. The coil has an open design that gives clinicians more flexibility when performing interventional procedures, with both lateral and medial access. The coil also features memory foam and an ergonomic headrest for better patient comfort.
Also look for the company to show its SureLoc Console for MRI-guided interventional procedures, and CADalog study library system, which retrieves prior studies for on-demand comparison.
In the realm of prostate imaging, Confirma has adapted its CAD algorithms to develop a version of CADstream for prostate MRI. The software provides image registration, image alignment between contrast series and T2 images, and uptake and washout maps, as well as features such as multiplanar reformatting with subtractions, maximum intensity projections (MIPs), and prostate-specific lesion reporting.
