Computer-aided detection (CAD) firm iCAD of Nashua, NH, has installed its VividLook CAD analysis software at an MRI center operated by DRA Imaging in Poughkeepsie, NY.
The software will be used to help diagnose prostate cancer at the center. Prostate cancer traditionally has been evaluated by a digital rectal examination in combination with other clinical data, including prostate-specific antigen tests and pathologic information.
The combination of MRI and VividLook is designed to provide additional information to assist in differentiating malignancies versus benign growths and to pinpoint tumor location and size.
