GE completes Optima MRI installations

GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., has installed two new Optima MR450w wide-bore 1.5-tesla MRI systems at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

The installations occurred at the Center for Image Guided Intervention and the Breast and Imaging Center. At the centers, Optima MR450w is configured with GE's noninvasive MR-guided focused ultrasound technology.

GE noted that more than 100 orders for the scanner have been received to date.
