The American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) has published a new guideline for the use of stress echocardiography in patients with ischemic heart disease.
The guidelines replace the 2007 guideline on stress echocardiography and now includes sections on class of recommendation and level of evidence, according to the ASE. It also features current practice recommendations and training requirements, as well as new recommendations regarding quantitative analysis.
The guidelines can be found on the Journal of American Society of Echocardiography website.
