iCAD, GWU collaborate on mobile mammo project

Computer-aided detection (CAD) software developer iCAD is collaborating with George Washington University (GWU) Medical Center in Washington, DC, on a mobile digital mammography project.

The institution is launching a new digital mammography van, equipped with Hologic's Selenia digital mammography system and iCAD's SecondLook Digital system. The van replaces a 10-year-old van that didn't have digital mammography capabilities, and will serve women in northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC, according to the Nashua, NH-based iCAD.
