GE Lunar, GE Healthcare's densitometry division, will highlight Lunar iDXA, a new bone mineral density system that recently received clearance from the FDA.
iDXA can measure patients weighing up to 400 lb, allowing clinicians to diagnose larger patients, including professional athletes, who have not been able to receive comprehensive exams. iDXA can help diagnose osteoporosis and determine regional body fat composition, an indicator for risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
GE Lunar will also highlight its Achilles Express ultrasonometer, a compact unit designed to evaluate osteoporotic fracture.
