2008 10 24 15 01 34 460 Planmed Wom 2008(Booth 7307) At RSNA 2008, Roselle, IL-based Planmed will highlight Planmed Nuance Excel, a full-field digital mammography (FFDM) unit that is pending clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Planmed Nuance Excel features a 24 x 30-cm amorphous selenium-based direct digital detector and the company's TriFilter technology for optimal image quality with minimal dose, according to Planmed. It incorporates Planmed's MaxView and Side Access breast and patient positioning systems.

The company also will showcase Planmed Nuance DigiGuide, a digital stereotactic biopsy system, and Nuance Acquire Station (NAS), a motorized height-adjustable acquisition station for FFDM. Both Nuance DigiGuide and NAS also are pending clearance from the FDA.
