Medical imaging facilities are most satisfied with the performance of their mammography systems, according to the results of a customer satisfaction survey performed by market research firm IMV Medical Information Division. Meanwhile, CT scored the highest in terms of OEM service satisfaction.
The numbers for the first half of 2017 come from IMV's ServiceTrak program, which rates customer satisfaction in three categories: system performance, manufacturer performance, and OEM service performance. IMV has published the ratings in a series of infographics on its website.
In all, 65% of those surveyed reported satisfaction with their mammography system, with CT coming in at 62% and MRI rounding out the top three at 58%. Respondents were least satisfied with their radiography/fluoroscopy (R/F) systems, with 43% reporting that they were satisfied with their systems.
With respect to manufacturer performance, mammography also grabbed top ServiceTrak honors, with a 69% satisfaction level, with the top three rounded out by CT and MRI at 64% each. R/F units also landed at the bottom of this category, with a 45% satisfaction level.
In the service category, owners of CT scanners were most satisfied in the ServiceTrak survey, with 77% reporting satisfaction. The next highest levels were MR at 76% and x-ray at 74%. Occupying the bottom spot was R/F again at a 67% satisfaction level.
