Susan G. Komen is praising the passage of H.4918, a breast cancer imaging bill in Massachusetts.
The bill, which is an act "relative to medically necessary breast screenings and exams for equity and early detection," was approved by the Massachusetts legislature and signed into law by Governor Maura Healey.
"We thank the legislature and Governor Healey for eliminating barriers to care so that people with state-regulated health plans receive their medically necessary diagnostic and supplemental imaging without any patient cost sharing," said Molly Guthrie, vice president of policy and advocacy at Susan G. Komen.
