(Booth 6075) Definiens of Morristown, NJ, will introduce new software for semiautomated lymph node analysis, designed to assist radiologists in the analysis of lymph nodes and to support comparison of nodes over time.
It also is able to quantify the standard parameters required by Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) and World Health Organization (WHO) criteria in a consistent, rapid, and reproducible manner, the company said. A 3D visualization capability offers volumetric insight, which can assist in comparing lymph nodes over time.
The software is based on Definiens' Cognition Network Technology, a context-based approach that emulates human cognitive processes to examine objects in relationship to each other. Definiens' technology supports virtually any multidimensional image data from any image modality, the company said.
Definiens has not yet submitted the software for regulatory clearance; the company will demonstrate it as a work-in-progress.
