Image enhancement developer ContextVision has filed a patent application for a new image quality measurement technology called Virtual Expert.
The new technology automatically determines image quality through a library of algorithms for feature extraction and artificial intelligence. An image's quality metric may then be used to evaluate and enhance image quality automatically, without direct involvement of a clinical expert, ContextVision said.
Virtual Expert will be used as the basis for many of ContextVision's future products, the firm said.
