Kodak renames medical business

Eastman Kodak has renamed its healthcare business in a move that reflects the Rochester, NY, company's intention to expand beyond radiology and into the broader healthcare information technology market.

Kodak's Health Imaging division will now be known as the Health Group, the company announced at this week's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference.

Kodak is using the HIMSS meeting as a launch pad for its new CareStream product line, which includes digital imaging, information, communications, and services offerings to create image-enabled electronic medical records.
