Lunit secures National Cancer Institute partnership

AI firm Lunit has entered into a collaboration with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) to explore applications of AI in cancer research, particularly tumor microenvironment and immune phenotyping.

The agreement will allow Lunit to provide NCI Center for Cancer Research (CCR) investigators with Lunit's AI algorithms. The company will analyze whole-slide images taken from NCI’s clinical studies, using its biomarker technologies such as SCOPE IO and Lunit SCOPE universal IHC. Lunit and NCI will together prepare publications, presentations, and reports, according to Lunit.
