Speech recognition technology developer M*Modal will provide West Virginia University (WVU) Medicine with its voice recognition software.
Nine hospitals constitute WVU Medicine, including a 645-bed academic medical center and multiple physician practices. M*Modal's multifacility deployment will include M*Modal Fluency Direct for front-end speech recognition; M*Modal CDI Engage, a closed-loop documentation software that analyzes the clinical note, suggests improvements in quality and compliance, and reports on physician engagement with the system; and M*Modal Fluency for Transcription.
WVU Medicine will integrate the software with its ongoing deployment of electronic health record software from Epic Systems.
