(Booth 2909) NAI will highlight MDR Publisher in its RSNA booth at McCormick Place.
MDR Publisher provides automated publishing of disks, as well as full-color printing of label graphics, according to the Auburn, CA-based firm. It includes dual DVD/CD burners, and can burn single- or multiple-patient archive disks along with a DICOM viewer utility for review from a Windows PC, the company said. MDR Publisher can hold up to 100 blank disks.
NAI will also showcase MDR Video RP, a standalone medical image recorder with integrated disk label printing. MDR Video RP provides recording of high-resolution video to CD or DVD media in a DICOM format, with automatic printing of full-color label graphics, NAI said.
Another version, MDR Express RP, provides disk burning and labeling capability for DICOM modalities such as computed radiography (CR), digital radiography (DR), CT, and MRI. MDR Video RP and MDR Express RP use NAI's Radial Print disk printing technology, which allows for data burning and label printing within the same disk drive. NAI expects to begin shipping both systems in January 2008.
In other developments, NAI has unveiled a software and hardware upgrade for its DiCOM Box network interface. A faster processor and expanded memory have been added to improve DiCOM Box's performance in applying image filters, data compression, and conversion of higher-frequency video sources, according to the company. Network transfer speeds have also been increased.
The software upgrade, release 7.0, upgrades the video set-up capabilities, NAI said. Shipments are expected to begin in November.
