GE Healthcare is launching new software to automate radiology workflow at this week's Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) 2022 annual meeting.
The new software uses predictive analytics to help boost reading capacity by up to 20%. The application is integrated with Helix Radiology performance suite, which was developed by Q-IT, a subsidiary of Quantum Imaging & Therapeutic Associates.
The software intelligently prioritizes and assigns an exam based on the real-time assessment of the active radiologist workforce and their skillsets, as well as exam complexity modifiers to help enable the most appropriate radiologist for the exam.
In its use of the software, Quantum Imaging & Therapeutic Associates saw declines in turnaround times for STAT radiology reports as well as increases in productivity, according to the companies.
