Siemens Healthcare said it has appointed David Fisher as its new vice president of healthcare policy and strategy.
Fisher will manage and direct the company's approach to U.S. government policy from within the healthcare sector; represent Siemens in meetings with regulatory, payor, and reimbursement agencies; and develop industry relationships, according to Siemens.
Fisher most recently held the position of executive director at the Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA). In this role, he was responsible for the strategic positioning of legislative, regulatory, and public relations activities as well as member relations. Prior to joining MITA, Fisher spent 13 years working for Congress, including senior positions in the Senate and the Office of Management and Budget, Siemens said.
